At Bodmin College Sixth Form, it is our aim to encourage and support students to practice their education, to respect others and to develop as mature individuals, ready to take an active role in adult life. We are open to any student who wishes to work hard and add to, or improve, their qualifications in order to better their future.
We are very proud of our college, its history and its place in the community. Our strong, successful and personalised Sixth Form teaching has enabled our reputation to be amongst the very best in the county. This reputation has drawn an increasing number of students from a wider area to us, who gain success and progress into higher education, employment and/or training.
The pass rate for A Level students increased in 2015 to 99%, with 66% of these students receiving the higher A*- C grades across all of their chosen areas of specialism. Results from individual subject areas were equally impressive, with 91% of all subjects achieving the coveted 100% pass rate.
In 2014, Ofsted viewed the College very favourably, with a superb report outlining the leadership, the quality and the range of our provisions and our links with Higher Education as strengths of our Sixth Form. Ofsted have reiterated these praises in more recent inspections.
We encourage anyone interested in our Sixth Form to contact us personally to ascertain what we can offer them.
