College Life 2

College Life

At Bodmin College we make it our mission to ensure life as a Sixth Form student is as fulfilling, rewarding and enjoyable as possible. A key feature of Sixth Form life is an increasing level of autonomy, both in your academic and social life.

As a member of the Sixth Form you will be given increasing levels of responsibility over your studies, whilst being taught by subject specialists. Each student will have access to a Personal Tutor, our World of Work Coordinator and to our Enrichment Programme. Students are encouraged to access leadership courses, as universities and employers both favour students who have demonstrated leadership skills and participated in additional activities.

Our newly opened Creative Spaces media centre, packed with cutting-edge creative equipment including Mac Suites, Creative Design Workspaces and professional standard studios, makes us a hub for the innovative application of digital technologies in Cornwall. Similarly, our Vocational Training Centre blends professional standard resources with education.

A Common Room, Students Services Office and a quiet Study Area are provided for the exclusive use of Sixth Form students and you will have the flexibility to have lunch off-site, if you so wish. You will not have to wear a uniform, however it is required that you dress appropriately for the environment. Students also benefit from free membership of the Sports Academy Gym, in addition to reduced rates for hair and beauty treatments and computer maintenance. Our Student Services’ team, with a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker, will be on hand should you experience personal or social difficulties.

"There's something for everyone here with a big college experience, delivered in a personalised manner that makes you know you're special and that you matter."
