The ICT Practitioner Btec courses at Bodmin College are modular, and you will build up a portfolio of evidence that will lead to gaining a nationally recognised qualification in Information Technology Systems. Some units may also lead you to gaining recognised qualifications from external companies such as Cisco and Microsoft. The Level 2 and Level 3 Vocational ICT courses are designed to give students hands on practical skills in building computers, website design, networking, maintaining systems, computer forensics, networking, installation and fault diagnosis. You can go on to university to study for a degree in computing, computing science or game design. You may want to work in a technical role maintaining computers, servers and network devices or in web design. The course is equivalent to 3 A Levels for those students who complete the Level 3 Extended Diploma.
There are no entry requirements to this course other than an interest in the subject and a commitment to doing well.
