A Level

In the business world Philosophy and Ethics is known as a ‘signaller,’ meaning that a person with the subject on their CV is a good candidate, as it shows their ability to argue responsibly and that they have developed listening skills. They are also able to use rational logic and a higher level of thinking in order to solve problems; to think outside the box. Students wishing to study Law, Physics and Medicine have also found the course extremely helpful in their higher education.

Entry Requirements

It will be hugely advantageous to have a grade C or above in English at GCSE, due to the amount of essay writing and constructive debates that are required. The ability to structure an argument and to understand and empathise with the views of others is vital. It is not necessary to have taken Religious Education Full Course GCSE in order to be successful at A Level.
