Photography & Digital Art

A Level

The Photography & Digital Art A Level course at Bodmin College is aimed at any student wishing to develop their skills in photography and digital art. The course is based in a purpose built Digital Media Centre with high specification equipment and resources.

The course offers excellent preparation for students wishing to progress to university to study subjects such as photography, digital art, graphics, illustration, games design, advertisng and other art or design qualifications; or to apprenticeships/careers involving the creative use of digital
technologies.

From September 2015 students will have the opportunity to further their education beyond A Level at Bodmin College with our new 1 year ABC Foundation Diploma in Design and Media, or our 2 year Foundation
Degree in Digital Media in partnership with Falmouth University.

Entry Requirements

As many students have excelled in this A Level without studying the subject at KS4, no formal entry requirements are expected. Our students are makers. They learn through exploration. They are fresh-thinking contributers with a passion for creative technology. We look for students who are excited by collaboration and experimentation, fusing traditional media with digital to shape new experimental work. In your first term you’ll learn the basics of digital still and moving image making that will form the grounding of your personal exploration throughout the rest of the course.
