A Level Physics at Bodmin College is for students who want to go on to study a scientific degree at university e.g. mathematics, physics, engineering, medicine; or want to study a degree that uses mathematical and problem solving skills e.g. accountancy, robotics or flying school. It complements the A Level Mathematics course and, as such, most students studying physics also study mathematics.
Students are expected to have a genuine interest in the subject and a high grade (A*-B) in GCSE maths and science. Students need to be aware that attendance at teaching sessions is mandatory in order to cover the depth of knowledge required in this syllabus.
