This is a two year, double award course. Over the two year period students progress from the Award to Certificate and then to the Diploma Level. The Level 3 qualification in Increasing Participation in Sport and Active Leisure in Community Settings (QCF) at Bodmin College will provide the skills and knowledge required to assist those wanting a career in Sports Development and/or Coaching. Learners will produce one portfolio covering a number of areas such as Events Management in Sport and Active Leisure, how to identify talent in sport, and working with participants with disabilities in Sport and Active Leisure.
To study this course, you need to have a strong interest in sport and in football in particular. There are no formal entry requirements for candidates nor are there formal exams. However, there is a considerable amount of coursework and formative assessment as well as coaching practise requirements.
